Our desk · who we are

About this guide

A small, independent guide to one casino-hotel on the Gold Coast, with a desk that requests rooms for readers.

What we are

Broadbeach Island Weekender covers one place in depth: The Star Gold Coast in Broadbeach, Queensland. We picked a single resort because it is really four hotels, a theatre and a dozen venues, and most guides flatten that into one paragraph. Our angle is the two-night beach weekend for couples, with the practical detail — parking, pool access, opening days — that decides whether the weekend goes well.

How we research

  1. Official first Facts come from the resort's own pages, the Queensland Government, the airport and the transport operator. Each page lists what we read and when.
  2. Secondary, labelled History and some distances come from Wikipedia; we mark those as secondary.
  3. No prices for rooms Rates change daily. We print parking rates because the resort publishes a fixed rate card, with the date we read it.
  4. No invented people No made-up guests, quotes or stays. Our verdict is ours and says so.
  5. Corrections If you spot an error, email [email protected]. We fix it and note the change.

Who publishes it

The publisher and advertiser is Veronika Muro. The site is independent: it is not the hotel's website and is not run, endorsed or paid for by The Star Entertainment Group. The room-request desk is part of this site; how it earns is explained on how we earn.

Our pictures

The images on this site are illustrations made for it, not photographs of the hotel. For real photos and floor plans, use the resort's official site.

Ask our desk for a room on Broadbeach Island

Three short steps: dates, the room you have in mind, where to reply. Our desk takes it from there.

  1. 1 · Dates
  2. 2 · Room
  3. 3 · You
When, and how many of you
Which room, and anything we should know

How it works: the request goes to this site's booking desk, not to the hotel. We check availability and the current rate with the hotel's reservations team or a booking partner and answer by email. We never ask for card details here, and a request is not a booking.

If your request turns into a confirmed stay, the hotel or the booking partner that completes it pays us a commission. You pay nothing extra for asking. How we earn.

Received. Our desk now checks the dates with the hotel's reservations team or a booking partner and replies by email, usually within one business day. Nothing is booked or charged until you say yes to an offer.
