The Isoletto Pool Club on Level 6 is open to guests of all of The Star's resort accommodation, so even Dorsett guests get a pool. The Darling pool is the one that is closed to everyone else.

How to choose in three questions

How many people, and do they need separate rooms? Two adults: any of the four. Two adults and two children who need their own beds: a Residences two-bedroom, or a Star Grand room with a rollaway (one per room). Dorsett cannot add a rollaway or sofa bed.
Is the view or the balcony the point? At The Star Grand only the Corner Balcony Deluxe Room and the suites promise a balcony or terrace. At Dorsett the Deluxe and Executive rooms have balconies; the Standard rooms do not. Executive Deluxe rooms at The Star Grand sit on Level 18 and above.
Will you drive? If yes, The Darling is the only hotel that promises a car space — one per room. The others depend on a shared car park that is often full on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Packages listed for 2026

At the time of writing the resort listed four packages for stays from 3 June to 30 November 2026: Stay & Dine (daily breakfast and a $50 food and drink credit each day), Stay & Save (20% off the best available rate), Four or More (30% off stays of four nights or longer at The Star Grand or The Darling) and Family Time at The Star Residences. Blackout dates apply, you must be 18 or over to book, and cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before 3pm on the day of arrival. Packages cannot be combined with each other.
